„LETTER TO A SOUL IN THE DARK”
Dear You,
I don’t know your name.
But I know the silence you’re sitting in.
The one that wraps around your chest like a heavy coat —
the one that tells you no one sees you,
no one hears you,
and maybe… no one ever will.
But I see you now.
Not because I know your story,
but because I have walked inside that same darkness.
And when I say you are not alone,
I do not mean it like a slogan.
I mean it like a truth written on the bones of those who came back.
You may feel like everything inside you is breaking.
Like you are too tired to ask for help.
Like you don’t want to burden anyone.
I know. I’ve said those same words —
or couldn’t even say them.
But I want to tell you this,
as softly as possible,
with no pressure, no judgment, no “fixing”:
Your pain is valid.
Your existence is not a mistake.
You are not beyond repair.
There is a you that still wants to live.
Not just survive, but live.
And maybe, right now, that you is very quiet.
Maybe he’s buried under noise and grief and fear.
But he is not gone.
He is waiting.
And I promise you this —
Even if you can’t see your light right now,
there are people — real, living, breathing souls —
who believe in it for you.
Until you can believe again yourself.
I am one of them.
So breathe.
Cry if you need to.
Sleep, if you can.
Drink water.
Look out the window, even if it’s just once.
And know this:
You matter.
You are loved.
You are not alone.
With my hand outstretched in the dark,
— Someone who knows
