🪞

You light a candle. 🕯
You stand in front of the mirror. 🪞
You take a deep breath. 🌬
You whisper:
“I love you.”

Your reflection blinks.
Slowly. Judgingly. 😒
Like it’s thinking:
“Do you though?”

You try again.
“I forgive you.”
Your eye twitches. 👁️💢
Your reflection smirks. 😏
You’re not sure who’s in charge anymore.

You look deeper.
Too deep. 🌀
Suddenly you see your entire childhood trauma, two failed relationships,
and that one time you said “you too” when the waiter told you to enjoy your meal. 🍽😳

You try to smile. 🙂
Your reflection tries too. 😬
It doesn’t help.
Now you both look like anxious raccoons trying to do shadow work. 🦝😩

You ask:
“Do you believe in me?”
And your reflection shrugs like a tired therapist. 😮‍💨🛋️

So you give up.
You light another candle. 🕯
You say:
“Okay… just be here with me.”
And for a moment,
your reflection softens.
And says nothing. 🌫

Moral?
Sometimes healing isn’t about fixing what you see —
It’s about staying long enough to see who’s still there. 💛
